Kitchen Roll Ecoswap

A simple switch - no more single use kitchen roll

A simple idea to eliminate another single use item from your shopping list. This batch of reusable cloths came from a fitted sheet that got ripped. I cut the sheet up into cloths of approximately 30cm x 25cm, which I find is a good size for wiping up spills, etc.

I use a pinking shears (zig zag scissors) to cut them up so that the cloths don't fray in the wash. I store this jar under my kitchen sink for easy access and once they've been used I pop them in the laundry basket to be washed.

My favourite fabrics to use are really soft cotton t-shirts which are super absorbent.
